Our Solutions
Growing wealth tax-efficiently across generations while investing flexibly across traditional and alternative investments.
An asset management tool, PPLI is a type of variable universal life (VUL) insurance that allows investments contained within the policy to grow with income and capital gains taxes deferred. These gains can be accessed income tax free during the insured’s lifetime or passed to beneficiaries as part of an income tax free benefit.
Foreign investors, including individuals, groups and sovereigns, can eliminate taxation resulting from the Foreign Investment in Real Property Tax Act (FIRPTA) and effectively-connected income (ECI) by making investments via an institutional private placement variable annuity (PPVA).
Tax exempt investors, such as pensions, endowments, foundations and charities, can eliminate unrelated business taxable income (UBTI) by making investments via an institutional private placement variable annuity (PPVA) contact. The structure allows for the investment income to be recharacterized as UBTI-exempt annuity income. A PPVA is most efficient and simple to administer.
An asset management tool, PPVA is a type of variable annuity that allows investments contained within the PPVA to grow with income and capital gains taxes deferred. These gains are taxed at ordinary income rates when distributed, subject to a 10%penalty if withdrawn before age 59 1/2.
